Leaders have been very hard to come by at Manchester United in the last decade, we’ve seen a huge culture shift in recent years so finding that ‘tough guy’ isn’t as easy as it was pre 2000’s. But is Casemiro The modern day keane?
Casemiro and Roy Keane do share some similarities in their playing style and characteristics on the pitch, but they also have some differences.
Both players are known for their tough tackling, physicality, and ability to break up opposition attacks. They are also both strong leaders and have huge teams.
However, there are some differences between them. Keane was more of an attacking threat, often scoring goals and creating chances for his team, while Casemiro is more of a defensive midfielder, primarily focused on disrupting opposition attacks and protecting his team's defense. Both have a very fiery temperament, Casemiro showing so this season collecting 2 red cards (as many as he has in his whole Real Madrid career).
In summary, while there are some similarities between Casemiro and Roy Keane, they also have distinct differences in their playing styles and personalities.
